The Boston GMB hosts the following events. All workers are invited to attend!

Boston GMB monthly meeting
When: 2:00pm-4:00pm on the second Sunday of every month

The monthly union business meeting of the IWW. We run our own union — without bureaucrats –and conduct union business democratically through discussion and voting. We invite all those interested in how we operate to attend.

IWW Social
When: Monthly.

What: Are you a new or longtime Wobbly who’d like to get to know your fellow workers better? Interested in what we’re all about or currently up to in and around Boston? Just looking for another excuse to hang out with the Wobs? …then you’re invited to the “IWW Social” !!! Delegate services (for joining the union, paying dues, etc), IWW info, and merchandise are available. At the socials, we have food, cheap drinks, good conversation, and usually a Wobbly Song or two sung. We try to get entertainment or some sort of special event to happen at each of the socials to keep them varied. We’d like to encourage you to invite your friends, family, and coworkers as well. All are welcome to attend.

Workplace Organizing Trainings
When: Every 3-4 months.

  • Next training: TBA. To speak with an experienced IWW union organizer and trainer, or request a training, call: 617-863-7920

Where: Varies, generally within the Boston-area.
What: A workplace organizer training open to all. Gain the knowledge and skills you need to know to organize your co-workers into taking collective action and placing demands upon the bosses in the workplace.

IWW Organizing Summit 2013
The 2013 IWW Organizing Summit will be hosted in Boston from February 8th – 10th 2013 and registration is open to all IWW members. A $25 registration fee covers food and other summit expenses.
